Sheraton Carlsbad Resort stay

We recently had the opportunity to stay at the beautiful Sheraton Carlsbad Hotel & Resort. I get asked often where the best places to stay are in San Diego and I’m happy to add this place to my list of recommendations! We were in need of time away from our house. We have definitely felt cooped up since March which I’m sure a lot of you can relate to.
When we arrived our rooms were sanitized and very clean! I will say traveling during a pandemic can be tricky such as no room service and you need to wear a mask while on the premises which was expected. We still had so much fun!!
Fire pits for Smores
They have an awesome fire pit where the families can make s’mores or just hang out. You could always head to the beach which is a quick 5 mind drive.
The pool was our main place that we hung out. It was so beautiful and relaxing. I highly recommend trying their pina coladas. There is a waterslide that the kids (and myself) loved! It was one of the cleanest pools we have been in with crystal clear water.

I usually have a hard time sleeping in hotels but this one was extremely quiet and the beds feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. All of us slept sooo good!!! I would come back just for the beds!
The food was at the restaurant 7 Mile Kitchen is SO good. They served starbucks coffee and I ordered a fruit & yogurt parfait with the freshest fruit and honey.
Lucy had cheerios, so they definitely have options for picky eaters!! There is also a Starbucks next to the pool so you can grab pastries or iced coffee also.
For lunch both days I got the Greek salad with shrimp and it was to die for! They also have amazing chuck burgers and pizza. I loved that the menu was family friendly.

Our room had the prettiest sunsets and sunrises. We could also see the ocean which was incredible to wake up to.
We enjoyed having coffee out on the balcony in the mornings and and wine at night.
In conclusion I definitely recommend checking out the Carlsbad Sheraton if you are in need of a refreshing time out of your house! We will definitely be going back there for another family staycataion.
